Strengths:
Carl Landry plays the game with such great intensity that it truly has a large impact on the court. He is not the most skilled player in the draft but he will outwork just about anyone. He has great strength and toughness that allow him to excel on the court. Landry is a solid prototypical big - he can defend in the post, rebound, and likes to bump in the post. This is one guy I wouldn't mess with out on the court. His strength allows him to be a high percentage scorer.
Weaknesses:
Some scouts wonder whether Landry relies to much on his strength to excel in the league. He will run into many more excellent athletes in the big show. Also, despite his excellent strength and passion Landry is not a great shotblocker. He has little mid-range game and his handling ability is mediocre. Some also feel that his game has about reached its peak.
