When Greg traded Dwight for Tmac and JO he looked like he was the top team in the West. Dealing Bosh for the Hornets 1st I thought was a good move value wise because I am not a big Bosh fan, but it was after making the Dwight trade which hurt him a lot come playoff time. Dixon leaving hurt a lot since he could have ran an outside offense and let Gay develop.
The trades this year have been questionable. I think he could have gotten more for Gay than he did. I would have rather had JO than Dirk but they are both overrated imo. The Tmac trade was terrible. The core Greg had after those trades could have made the playoffs and maybe even won in round 1. He wasn't going anywhere after this season though. He is still in position to tank to a top 6 or 7 pick. He has the Hornets 1st already and if he can get value out of Dirk and Kandi he should be able to have at least 3 or 4 nice players in the next two drafts.

As I stated in that post we were doing renovations on the house and I was frustrated as hell that day because that room looks like crap. Still mad about that. I shoulda just went to bed but I needed some kinda fix that day and did a stupid deal. Fuck it,you move on. I feel that the team I had was a perennial 4 to 8 seed and one and done in the playoffs. I'd like better than that so said hell with it. And it's funny how the Artest-Billups deal you dont wanna count because well, Artest didnt look like that then. Damn man, Howard and Bosh didnt look like that when I dealt them either. You are really something else. |
