Austin Daye 6’10” – 190 lbs – Small Forward Projected Rookie Rankings: C+ B C+ C C A
Strengths: Beautiful offensive game. His athleticism for a player his height is phenomenal which is why there is so much intrigue with Daye. Has the ability to handle the ball well for someone at 6’10”. Also has a very nice jumpshot.
Weaknesses: At 190 lbs, he neeeeeeds to put weight on asap. There have been complaints about the weight of point guards, but at 190 lbs, Daye weighs just as much as those guards. Any GM that picks Daye needs to give him +3 for his entire career. His strength rating will be one of the lowest in the league.
Outlook: Luckily, weight is something that can be fixed. If a GM can be patient, add the proper weight/RC’s, Daye can be a stud. His offensive ability is there, but just needs to fine tune his body. Should have a fine career as a small forward in this league.

Solid offensive player. Should be fun to see him progress.
Also, I wish more people would use the Weight Room. Its open almost all year now.

I think I had him last BBS. Yeah, I did, then I dealt him when I put together that team with Deron/Granger/Marion/KG/Cisse. That was the year after I won 13 games. Won 48 that year, huge failure. Guess those guys were a bit too old, but I still refuse to believe that. Average age was like 30, maybe 31. Whatever.
Daye fucking sucked vs. Davidson but every other time I watched him, I was impressed. I love lanky prospects with shots. I dunno why.
In other news, Theo Davis left Gonzaga because he wanted to be closer to home (health problems in the family) and because he got busted for pot there. He's going to play for Bing after the first semester of next year, so I'm pretty stoked.

I know he was a top prospect but I didn't get much of a chance to see him play much this year... he looks really skilled though.

Yeah, the WCC games are always on so late here that I rarely watched them this year. ESPN2 loves showing them around 9:55 but I'm always doing my work around then. He lit it up a few times this year and dribbles between his legs nicely. That's really all I remember of him. Hit only glass on a few shots in the tournament. That sucked.

The Zags should be pretty good this season. Hopefully they can make some noise in the tourney again.

The only WCC game I saw was the semifinal game in the conference tournament between San Diego and St. Mary's... really good game Hopefully I can catch a few more next year.. Gonzaga seems pretty loaded
