Thomas Jones is an avg RB.
Who at WR is a true #1 wideout?

So tell me this... how does a team that you say does not suck, NOT make playoffs? Isn't that a contradiction?
The Browns went 10-6 and didn't make the playoffs. The AFC is absolutely brutal.
I'm talking about Free Agency THIS year. They spent the most money out of any team this season in Free Agency, I never said that that was the ONLY way they acquired players.
They spent alot of money but a bulk of it was to filling wholes on the lines. And I'd say Alan Faneca is a better (and more impactful) player than any of the terrible signings the Redskins (you made the comparison) made (Archuleta, Lloyd, an old Bruce Smith, an old Deion Sanders). The Pace signing is questionable but he's a perfect fit for the defense, whether he plays inside or outside.
Mangold didn't play as well last season as his rookie season, and your "saviors" Tannebaum and Mangin were stupid to ship out Kendall to Washington and not fill anyone in his space last year.
An offensive line was terrible last year but it's certainly not Mangold's fault. The right side of our line was terrible and LG was a mess as well. The Kendall situation was bad... Mangini made a mistake.
D'Brick has been solid, but shouldn't he show flashes that he can be a shut-down tackle? I didn't see that at all, that's not a top 5 pick, in my eyes. Woody and Kendall should help out D'Brick and Mangold tons... but the chemistry won't be there.
The chemistry won't be there? Where do you get this shit from? They have all of fucking training camp to play with each other... that's plenty of time. And about D'Brick, he has the tools to be great (especially great feet), but I really want to see him gain some weight. He'll never be a mauler like Ogden or a Pace but if he plays on a competent o-line (like the one we should have this year) he'll prove himself to be good. And I think Mangold will be a top 2 or 3 center in this league very soon.
You mean to tell me you don't think the Jets overpaid for Kenyon Coleman? LMAO get real.
Coleman played very well last year. The contract wasn't that bad... only 6 million guaranteed.
At WR, you have an aging and oft-injured Coles and Cotchery who's had one really good season, but more importantly, NO QB. Cotchery's been very good the past 2 years. Coles has taking an absolute beating the past few years (mostly because of Chad throwing him shit across the middle of the field) but he can still rack up a 1,000 yards if he's healthy. Keller also has the ability to lineup outside, and hopefully Chansi Stuckey plays this year, he has skills. Baker has amazing hands... he's a very competent TE. We don't have a #1 WR, something we need to address, but the receiving core isn't shit. QB is a question mark, but hopefully someone steps up.

Thomas Jones is an avg RB. Who at WR is a true #1 wideout? Jones is pretty good. Washington is so dangerous and can handle more carries. Makes from a good run attack. Jones isn't an explosive RB, but neither was Curtis Martin and with a good line he had some brilliant seasons. Jones is smart but cautious, but if the play are run well, he's so strong drives well with his legs. His problem last season was that he never had a hole to hit. Ever! At WR, Coles and Cotchery are both #1s. Coles if he's healthy, but Cotchery, hands down. Amazingly skilled.

Thomas Jones is an avg RB. Who at WR is a true #1 wideout? Jones ran for 1,100 yards behind one of the worst lines in the league. He can go for 1,400 behind something decent.

I never once said they were going to make the playoffs. I think the QB situation needs to be resolved for us to have a chance. And as for you saying that the Jets building through FA... you really know very little about the team. Kerry Rhodes, Darrelle Revis, Vernon Gholston, David Harris... all great young defensive players that the Jets have drafted in the past 4 classes. D'Brick, Mangold, Leon Washington to name a few young of the offensive players... all big-time contributors on offense that the Jets have drafted in the past 3 classes. Traded down about only 15 spots in the 2nd round to get Thomas Jones, picked up a potentially beastly NT in Kris Jenkins by trading a 3rd and a 5th Not many teams have used the draft to build a great collection of young talent and impact vets as well as the Jets have. Unfortunately the team was an absolute mess when the Tannenbaum and Mangini arrived, so there's still some work to be done. However most the work they've done has been through the draft. And the only signing that the Jets made that I'd consider overpaying was the Pace signing Signing FAs like the Jets have done this offseason is what he is talking about. None of the guys they signed are great players and will only be short term answers. They may help the Jets compete the next season or two, but they are taking away playing time from younger guys which is going to hurt their development. Most "younger guys" don't start right away anyway. And Faneca isn't a great player?

We'll see. Did'nt see a lot of Jets games here so Cotchery I'm not real familiar with.
Coles was good when he was first with the Jets but I think he's slipped. I dont know if he's a 1 anymore.
But if the Jets had a better RB that would help the passing game itself. I'm just not real high on Jones. I remember him when he played agaisnt Dallas twice a year and on the Bears and he never looked anymore than avg to me.

I don't want to read this thread. Why devote 16 pages to England's fuckup cousin and Canada's drunken pedophile uncle?

If Marcus Camby is only worth a 2nd rounder, Andrew Bogut is worth a dick in the ass.
