Tyler Smith 6’7” – 220 lbs - 3
Potential Rookie Ratings - B- C+ C B C+ B
Pros – Smith is an animal. One of the toughest players in the draft. At the small forward position, he has great size and strength, which will undoubtedly give him the upper hand against most at his position. Has a great all around game for someone at his size. Last season, Smith averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting a ridiculous 54% from the field. He might not be a star, but Smith has a great chance at becoming a starting small forward in BBS.
Cons – His shot is not the strongest part of his game. He can definitely refine the midrange and three point shot. In an outside focus, he may struggle. Also, as a small forward, his ball handling can use some improvement. Since he’s on the older side out of school, his ceiling to improve is not like the Scotty Hopson’s of this draft. But if a team needs a superb bench player or good starter, Smith is going to be your guy.
