He will not be on the team for more than 10 games in the regular season.
1st Team SG, among the league leaders in many categories.
Sure he is on a large contract, I don't really care. He hasn't declined much at all, especially with the +10 upgrade a few seasons ago.

I think the Jazz should've dealt him during the season. At the age of 34 with the contract its going to be somewhat tough to get any value. Might have to move rose to rebuild properly.

Keeping him was a chance I was willing to take. He got me to 40 wins which was huge. I still think he has value and he has shown that by being top 5 scoring in the league. If that isn't value I don't know what is.

Its age thought. I mean you'll learn as you keep moving along the way people value players. Hopefully you can get something decent though.

Oh please. His value during the season was as low as it is now, and he's what, the best offensive player in BBS? This is the kinda guy you don't dump; he helps you WAY more than anything you get ever will, and with a PG like Rose improving every year, you try to keep adding good pieces because you won't find a guy like Pierce. Who cares about salary or age when he's that good?

29/7/5 and he gets Andrew 40 wins in his first year, which is huge because it gives him time to figure out what he wants to do with the team. Had he dealt Pierce, he'd be scrambling to get 40 wins by only his fourth season in BBS. Definitely wasn't a mistake to keep Pierce.

I think the Jazz listening to you is a bad move. Win one year try to rebuild the next without your own picks is a bad move. It can work to an extent. They should completely rebuild. They're not going nowhere. If they keep rose they'll be a late lotto team. You keep pierce until the deadline. He's 34 now with an ugly contract. Yeah, he has Rose. An overpaid solid center. But your saying he should keep that core? lol I dealt all my guys in 09 around the deadline and pierce/shaq were gone before the all star game. It's just smart. My point is he could have gotten the 40, and dealt him. Best offensive player? Uh. Hes definitely up there. Anyways, im not trying to decrease his value just was trying to help out with an opinion it wasnt meant to be an argumentative point.

I don't give him any advice really on his team. But as Rose improves, I don't think he's gonna have any problem winning 40 with his backcourt for quite a few years of Pierce's contract, so I don't see the need to dump Pierce unless he's getting his picks back, which he isn't. What he gets back just won't help.

Anyway, I don't know how you brought keeping Rose into the argument, but there's absolutely no reason to deal Rose right now or anytime soon.
