1. What is your teams biggest weakness?
My team has a lot of holes, but the thing that I think would put us over the top is a big man scoring threat. Ben Wallace, Hakeem, Dampier, and Anstey are not good scorers and never will be. Kenny Thomas could be a legit scorer but has currently found a home at SF. If I had a big man to play beside Ben that could score 18ppg and be a good defender I think this team would be very tough.
2. What BBS team will win the title this year?
The Sacramento Kings will win back to back. I really liked my chances to come out of the East and give them a shot (1-1 regular season series), but I just don't see any other team having what it takes to beat them. You always have to give the 76ers a chance with Shaq and the Spurs a chance with Duncan, but right now I think the Kings are on another level than the other two.
3. Which BBS player would you want to build your team around?
KG. He is only 25 and a top 3 player right now IMO. He is a 30+ppg scorer with all league caliber defense and good rebounding. His team has really suffered because of poor low post D in his first two seasons. I think he can take a team to multiple championships in the future.
4. Who is the best player in the 2002 Draft and why?
This is a really tough choice in my eyes. It is definitely between Yao Ming and Dwayne Wade. Going off the history of what you need to win the BBS I would say Yao for the time being. Big men are always needed to win championships while you can get away with having just good guards. However, Wade always seems to end up a top 5 player for a long period of his career in BBS and takes over the BBS playoffs. Yao is the better choice for the next 5 seasons. He will have insane trade value in his prime, but Wade will likely be the better choice if you plan to keep him for his entire career because he will be one of the best rounded guards in the league.
5. Which future player are you most interested in seeing in BBS and why?
It has to be Lebron James. In the two previous BBS, he has been one of the best if not the best player at one point. He is going to be the #1 pick in next years draft and will give one team a very bright future.
6. Which GMs is the easiest and most difficult to talk trade with?
Since I've been in the league with most of these guys for awhile, it is hard to say who is easy and difficult to talk trade with. In most cases, I already know what someone is going to be thinking. Reilly, Dave, and Hernando have always been hard to trade with because it is hard to win a trade with any of them unless their team is headed in the opposite direction as yours. Mark, Greg, and Skillz are all easy to discuss trades with, but that doesn't mean you always get the offer you are looking for.
7. What is the worst part of BBS?
There isn't really a bad part of BBS to me. The amount of time I spend in the league definitely doesn't help my grades, but it is a nice thing like BBS to get away to and spend some time on to get my mind off of the real world. Maniac being a Pitt fan (or student?) isn't a good thing either, but its all just fun and games except for 3 days a year.
8. Which GM doesn't pull his weight?
With KG now gone, Vernon is the only GM thats activity level isn't up to par with the rest of the league. There are a few guys who aren't as active as others but they still fit in fine. I'm guessing Vernon will pick up his activity for awhile since he has been informed he could get replaced. He will never be known or remembered for his league activity.
9. If you could change 1 rule in BBS what would it be?
I don't have a problem with any rule in the league right now. The only rule I would consider changing is the hard cap. I like the concept of it, but it is going to make it next to impossible to build a championship winning dynasty in the future. It will make the league even more competitive and active which in the end makes it a good thing. It is just going to be hard to field a contending team year in and year out.
10. What is your favorite league outside of BBS and why?
I am not in any other leagues besides BBS.
