1. What is your teams biggest weakness?
Well, we don't have depth that's for sure. But a lot of other teams seem to be a little thin as well through the first few years of the new BBS. So I'd have to say my teams biggest weakness is lack of a froncourt. Jermaine O'Neal can't do it all by himself. JO is still pretty young and isn't ready to carry the team on his shoulders. If we could add another big man this offseason, or grow Griffin into that guy, that would be great. The playoffs proves my point, because Tim Duncan absolutely shiat on us. I'm not too concerned because JO will continue to get better, and I have some other pieces to move around.
2. What BBS team will win the title this year?
The Bucks. They have the best mix of offense and defense. You do not want to go up against Ben Wallace and Hakeem Olajuwon, ever. This team is only giving up 88ppg
And I like how the match up in the 2nd round against the Bulls (They were 4-0 against Chicago in the regular season). I'm a little afraid about Francis running the point, but hey it's work perfectly fine so far.
3. Which BBS player would you want to build your team around?
Kevin Garnett. Easily. His ratings are just ridiculous. Probably the best in the league. But a lot of people great ratings (TD, Shaq, etc...), but what puts KG over the top is his versatility and his age. He could probably play any position if you needed him to, and at 25, he's lead the Wizards to a 60 win season. The future is bring for KG, and I'd want him on my team in a heart-beat. Oh yeah, and he lead the league in scoring at 32ppg. An absolute monster.
4. Who is the best player in the 2002 Draft and why?
Yao Ming. This was a little harder, but you got to go with the skilled giant. At 7-6 310, It's hard not to notice Yao. And with the talent an loads of potential he has entering the league, I really don't see why he shouldn't go #1 overall. B C C B C+ A ratings are great for a rookie. And being taller than anyone else in the league should only help Yao's chances. He should go #1.
5. Which future player are you most interested in seeing in BBS and why?
Brandon Roy. He's my boy. In most of the sim leagues who had Roy in their draft files (before he got drafted in real life), never gave Roy much love. He didn't really gain much hype till later in his senior year at Washington. Roy is a leader, and IMO is one of the most complete players out there. I just can't wait to see what he looks like in this new BBS. B- B- C+ B- C- A ratings would be nice to start out with.![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
6. Which GMs is the easiest and most difficult to talk trade with?
I have to be honest, after the creation draft I was pretty happy with what I had. And I really don't have much depth to be making any trades, so I haven't made any serious trade talks with anyone. But if I had to choose the easiest/hardest, I'd say aaron2344 is the easiest to talk with, for sure. When we talk, we get straight to the point. If I say something isn't available, he says ok and moves a long (and vice versa). With a lot of other GMs, they keep trying to convince me to trade what's untouchable. And sometimes it can get annoying. Also Aaron is easy to get a hold of. He always responds, and he doesn't keep me on any rabbit trails. We not get many trades done, but he is very easy to communicate with. And the hardest GM to talk trade is... Well, I haven't really had problems with anyone so far. Nova can sometimes be persistent in trade talks, and it can be annoying it. But it pays off sometimes, so I can't blame him for that.
7. What is the worst part of BBS?
Martinez. Pittsburgh. That's about it.
8. Which GM doesn't pull his weight?
I would have said KG, but he's gone now, so I don't know. All the GMs here seem to have good GMing skills. There's some I don't like, but most still know what they're doing.
9. If you could change 1 rule in BBS what would it be?
Let GMs offer minimum any day of FA. I find it really annoying when I can't do minimum/1year offers for day 1. I know the odds of me signing them that day are low, but still there's always a chance. That's something that's always bothered me. No biggie really. And that's about it, can't really complain too much. Things run pretty smoothly here.
10. What is your favorite league outside of BBS and why?
Of course I have to say UOSL2. It's my league, and it's my favorite league. It's well run obviously, and it has the least arguing of all the leagues out there. I feel like NBN/BBS are to clicky, and outsiders seem to have a hard time getting along, which can be a shame. UOSL2 seems to blend well with GMs with all kinds of background and that's what makes it so fun and enjoyable. But yeah, NBN/BBS/UOSL2 are the 3 best. And I like Global ABCA too, it's a fun league.
