1. What is your teams biggest weakness?
Right now I think were pretty lackluster in a bunch of categories. Obviously Elton Brand helps me out in most places but overall as a team we have a lot of gaps that we hope to address during the draft and off season. I am a big point guard guy so not having a legit one bothers me. We need to boost the defense up as were pretty poor in every defensive aspect outside of EB. Would love to pick up a third scorer and don't think I can compete until I grab one.
2. What BBS team will win the title this year?
I honestly don't pay attention that much to the playoffs when my team is in a rebuilding mode. I am going to say the Sixers though because they seem to be running shit at this moment.
3. Which BBS player would you want to build your team around?
I mean this is a pretty-open question because there are so many possibilities. Kobe Bryant would be one but I hated how Keelty set up that team. If your going to build around Kobe you gotta put him with some guys around the same age as him. It seemed pretty silly to draft Kobe then draft a project player in Peja and surround them with some senior citizens. If your going to build around a superstar who is youthful look do what either Jah did and build him around quality veteran players who have a 3 or 4 years still in them or do what I did with in Brand and what DJ did with McGrady last year and build through the draft. As for the question, I would build my team through Garnett.
4. Who is the best player in the 2002 Draft and why?
Dwayne Wade. You might argue that Yao is a big man and that they are more valuable then a shooting guard but I beg to differ. With the deflation of the league ratings that we have undergone I think offense is very valuable. Players like Zach Randolph, Carlos Boozer and Eddy Curry were players that were spited for their lack of defense and in this league where I believe offense and defense are on the same level, these players will be cherished by GM's. It is my personal opinion the big men are easier to come by then an all around guard at this point in the tenure of the sim. Call me crazy but I think there is a bigger crop of solid big men out there then solid wings.
5. Which future player are you most interested in seeing in BBS and why?
Honestly I could say Lebron, Roy, who ever the fuck we know is going to be good. I am gonna go with a guy who doesn't have the hype and could be a potential sleeper. I am really interested to see how John Salmons comes out in this draft. I love his ratings so far, and his rise to a solid player in the NBA has me scratching my head. In real life he is a decent defender, shoots for great percentages and dosen't force shots. I thought he was a great bargain guy in the previous BBS for the Min as he started for me in the finals of my first title. Really going to be curious how he develops.
6. Which GMs is the easiest and most difficult to talk trade with?
The most annoying is Nova by a mile. As it comes to easiest GM to talk trade with I would say Greggor by far. It is really a shame that he has nobody of interest because I feel like I am in a zone when it comes to Greg. I know all the right buttons to push and the right things to say in order to get a deal done. That might sound a little maniacal but we are here to build a championship team. James is pretty easy to work with, Aaron and Dan as well.
The most difficult are people who always look for the rip and not the quick fix. I can never deal with those types of people. Dave has a tendency to try and bully people into trades which makes it less attractive to even talking trade with him. Reilly is hard to make a trade with because you always fear your getting the raw end of the deal. It takes about 3 hours for Galo to respond to an IM you send him. Jordans pretty difficult Just some of the few off the top of my head.
7. What is the worst part of BBS?
I really don't like the deflated ratings to be honest with you. I felt this reason due to this deflation was due in part to NBN guys and Will being bitches. I liked the ratings how they were last BBS with it's high octane slugfests from beyond the arc and Eddy Curry's 20 blocks per game. I also hate the new skin on the board.
8. Which GM doesn't pull his weight?
Vernon has never really been active in the sense of having a personality or posting his mind on things. He is a poor-man's Jah when it comes to personality (even though Jah showed it the other day) in that if I were to meet him on the street I would have no idea what to expect. He could be a fucking robot for all I know. Vernon the Canadian Robot. That would be some fucked up shit ay.
9. If you could change 1 rule in BBS what would it be?
I would like getting player personalities involved in signings outside the FBB computer which I think is ridiculous. I think it would be cool if we had a league agent who negotiated for players based on greed and loyalty and then try to pry them in. It would add a whole different aspect to FA.
10. What is your favorite league outside of BBS and why?
League of Nations.
