First All Time Non-Lotto Team
C-Eddy Curry(2001 #14 Overall Warriors)
Eddy is currently rotating back and forth from the starting lineup for the Warriors but is playing efficiently no matter what the role. 11ppg in 20mpg he is by far the best non lotto scorer. Coach Pig is happy he is as hungry for points as he is for cheese burgers.
PF-Udonis Haslem(2002 #15 Overall Mavericks)
Udonis has been a start from day 1 for the Mavericks and hasn't disappointed currently maintaing a double double average of 13 and 10 while shooting for stellar percentages. He is right around 50% from the floor and over 80% from the ft line which is quite impressive for a man of his size.
SF-Bostjan Nachbar(2002 #16 Overall Rockets)
Bostjan is filling in nicely in a backup role for the Rockets bolstering their scoring attack off the bench. Houston looks to the bench for a lot of scoring with Bostjan and Eddie House combining for 16ppg.
SG-Juan Dixon(2002 #28 Overall Rockets)
Juan Dixon is leading off right where he ended in college. The hard working SG has earned himself a starting spot and is playing efficient ball shooting near 50% from the floor and 90% from the charity stripe. Dixon doesn't pay attention to #7 on the ten commandments thou shall not steal getting 2 thefts a game.
PG-Milos Vujanic(2002 #34 Overall Knicks)
Milos is the first of three second rounds to make the list astonishingly two are from the New York Knick organization. Milos definitely benefits from playing along side Dwayne Wade but give credit to Milos for getting it done 8ppg and 5apg in 25mpg this season is the best PG to come out of the non lotto.
Second All Time Non-Lotto Team
C-Jarron Collins(2001 #31 Overall Knicks)
Jarron is one of the best players to come out of the 2nd round with great ratings and solid numbers. The 24yr old 6'11 center is averaging 8ppg and 5rpg in 19mpg this season. Not too bad for the 16th selected big man. Wonder if Kwame Brown or Memet Okur will ever put up as good of numbers.
PF-Troy Murphy(2001 #18 Overall Rockets)
Troy "Box Out" Murphy is one of the most versatile big men in the league scoring inside and out while also being a dominating rebounding. Troy is averaging 15 and 9 this season starting for the Rockets. Troy is still projected to get better which is exciting because he is already a very good player.
SF-Jared Jeffries(2002 #23 Overall Mavericks)
Jared Jeffries has played every position except for PG this season for the Mavericks and really is Mr. Versatility. He almost made the first team as him and Bostjan were very very close in production. Jeffries has surprised the team with his ability to score the basketball this season but his defense comes to no surprise.
SG-Jiri Welsch(2002 #37 Overall Mavericks)
This Euro has taken advantage of playing time this season and has earned himself more and more with his consistent and efficient playing. Jiri wasn't expected to see many minutes this season but his ability to take care of the basketball and scoring efficiency has allowed him to play 20mpg.
PG-Carlos Arroyo(2001 #29 Overall Pacers)
Carlos now with the Raptors organization has fit in nicely as their backup PG averaging around 12mpg scoring 5ppg while dishing out 2 and a half assist a game. Carlos has the potential to someday become a decent starting point guard.
Honorable Mention: Bobby Simmons, Vladimir Radmonovic, Jamario Moon, Matt Barnes, and Jay Williams
Notes:It seems like scouting in Texas is just a notch above the rest as both Dallas and Houston top the list with 3 players a piece combining for 60% of the teams. New York has 2 players on the list both of whom were 2nd round selections. The Warriors who have 1 player on the team are currently in last place while the Pacers who traded the rights away for Arroyo are also one of the poorer teams in the league. A total of 5 teams make up for the 10 selections.
