Outlawz sent me this so I filled it out, it's old and he was going to give me more questions but didn't and I want this for this year's RC.
Prediction time. There does not seem to be a clear cut favorite at the moment to win it all. Who do you guys predict being in the finals and who’ll take it all?
Right now the title favorite is the Shaquille Jazz. It seems whatever team has him is the favorite to win it. Andy has done a great job surrounding Shaq with talent in Utah and they are playing pretty well. McDyess, Houston, and Johnson are the vets leading this team with Shaq. Other than that I think us, the Bucks, Wizards, Sonics(if they can get it together) and Blazers all have a decent shot at getting to the finals and potentially winning, but Utah is the favorite.
Let’s talk about your teams a little. What are your guys plans for your respective teams for the present and the future?
Our team is sitting pretty right now. We have a sick young core with Miller (23), Carter (25), Miller (22), LaFrentz (26), Gasol (22), and Brezec (23). They are winning us games now and I feel I have the perfect balance offensively with these guys. I mean this core is winning us games now and most of them aren’t even close to their prime yet. If we can keep this team together we are going to be very scary for a very long time.
Lets stray a little from BBS and give you some hard questions. If you had a choice to choose who would be your commish would you pick Spence or Will? And why?
You know, that’s a really tough question to answer. I wasn’t really in NBN when Will was the commissioner, I came after that. But obviously Will is a great GM, great draft creator and he’s such a big part of the NBN. I came into BBS as I had time for a 3rd league and I heard it was a really good league. So far it’s been unbelievable and Spencer has been amazing with simming, the drafts, keeping the league active, and everything. I’ve loved every minute of this league so far and it just keeps getting better for me. I know I kind of avoided the question but both are so influential and a necessity in their respective leagues.
Had Spence left NBN in the same fashion that Will left would either one of you have stuck up for Will the way a couple of people including myself stuck up for Spence?
I personally could handle being attacked verbally by guys, it’s not going to bother me. When people call you out, prove it by winning, and winning a lot. I preferred to stay out of that whole situation as it just kept getting worse and worse. When the league and their leader gets attacked, it’s completely understandable and expected for them to be backed up and stuck up for.
Enough about NBN. Recently I spoke to krup and spoke about a money league. Do you think that’s a viable idea? Would either one of you be down for something like that? We was thinking 5 bucks a gm every year and the champ wins it all at the end of the year.
This would be really cool, but way to hard to get organized and figured out. I would be down for it but it would be near impossible as we aren’t all even in the same country. The only thing I can think of is if everyone has a paypal account or something. I’m sure a few GM’s would get paranoid about getting cheated out of their money in some way?
Next season many will be entering their contract year. DO you think anyone will actually be fired?
Well, Nova’s team is really overachieving right now so he’s out of the picture. Knicks and Hornets are fine because of their GM’s and current situations. The Warriors have so much talent that if they can’t get to 40 wins they don’t deserve to even be here. The Grizzlies are fine too. Most of them will probably get to the 40 wins this year. So the answer is no, no one will get fired.
