Good evening everyone I am Erin Andrews coming to you live in downtown Portland. We are here at the Rose Garden where the defending BBS champions Portland Trail Blazers have gotten off to one of, if not the, worst start in franchise history. Coming off a magical run through the playoffs and winning a title, the Trail Blazers have a measly 13-16 record through 35 days. What could be the reasons for their piss poor play? We are searching for the root of the problem and believe through rumors to have found it. Through sources the Portland Trail Blazers GM Dan Basone has not been seen around his office or his home for weeks. It appears that after winning the championship he went into a drinking spree of celebration with former point guard, now head coach, Jason Kidd. It appears that the two of them, along with Monta Ellis, have been hitting up the clubs, strip clubs, and bowling alleys for women and free drinks.
The owner of the bowling alley had this to say. “Yeah, the three of them came into the Bowling alley around 11. They started hooting and hollering at all the ladies here, it was free Lesbian Lane night so there was a good amount of women here. They were rude, disgusting assholes. They racked up a big tab and have yet to pay it.”
Basone or Kidd have yet to respond. Monta Ellis play has been lack luster as of late too, could be because of his addiction to internet porn and GTA4.
The past week has been a wild one for the Trail Blazer organization, as they have made numerous moves to help their chances at repeating. They sent long time Portland fan favorite Nenad Krstic and Joe Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks for star center Emeka Okafor and point guard Mike Bibby. Then Basone moved Bibby for small forwards Al Thornton, Andrea Bargnani and guard Kevin Martin. While adding much needed depth in the last trade, the Blazers received the best big man in the league who has been known to carry teams on his shoulders. With Thaddeus Young, Monta Ellis and now Emeka Okafor, you would consider this trio to be one of the deadliest in the league. We have yet to see any kind of life from them as a team, it really does not look bright right now in Portland.
