The most exciting part of every season in the BBS is the training camp period, as gm's can see players either come out of nowhere or fall off the face of the earth. Here's a look at the big tc's from 2004.
Top TC's from 2004:
Antonio Daniels PG 29 6'4'' 205 C B C+ B D B
Antonio Daniels PG 29 6'4'' 205 C A- B- B+ D B
You would think that getting T-Mac and Shaq would be enough for the Magic, but they had a sick TC as well. Min FA signing Josh Powell exploded as well as Antonio Daniels, who came completely out of nowhere. It's likely you'll see Daniels be sent somewhere else with so many teams in need for a PG.
76ers Backcourt:
100 Kirk Hinrich PG 23 6'3'' 190 C B A- B D+ A
100 Kirk Hinrich PG 23 6'3'' 190 C A- A B D+ B
300 Gilbert Arenas PG 22 6'3'' 191 B B+ B- B C A
300 Gilbert Arenas PG 22 6'3'' 191 B A- B+ B+ C A
Jeez, the rest of their team sucks, but Hinrich and Arenas keep exploding in TC's. Hinrich is becoming one of the best passing pg's in the league, while Arenas looks like a complete stud. Expect him to compete for the MVP in no time.
Jerome Beasley SF 23 6'10'' 237 B C+ C- C C B
Jerome Beasley SF 23 6'10'' 237 B+ B- D+ C+ C+ B
This dude started with 100 potential. Book it. Had a second straight nice tc, upping his inside, outside, rebounding, and defense. Unfortunately for the Wizards, he does not have any birds on him.
Mike Dunleavy SG 23 6'9'' 232 C+ B+ B- C+ C A
Mike Dunleavy SG 23 6'9'' 232 C A- B B- C A
Dunleavy must have started with some sick potential, as he's gone from C B C+ C C A to C A- B B- C A in just 2 TC's. It should be interesting to see how the rest of his career progresses, and if he can play PG.
Jannero Pargo PG 24 6'2'' 170 C- B B- B D+ B
Jannero Pargo PG 24 6'2'' 170 C B A- A- D+ B
Despite a horrible TC from the Bulls in other aspects, Pargo was their one bright spot, and he was a big bright spot indeed. I don't think i've ever seen a player go from B- to A- handles in one TC, and adding that to his improvement in defense, you've got one of the better pure PG's in the league.
Marcus Banks PG 22 6'2'' 200 C C+ C+ A- C- B
Marcus Banks PG 22 6'2'' 200 C+ C+ B A- D+ B
Damn, and I drafted this guy too. Banks defense already makes him a nice guy off the bench, but his improvements in scoring and handling could potentially make him a starter with another good TC.
Al Jefferson PF 18 6'10'' 265 B- D+ D+ C+ B A
Al Jefferson PF 18 6'10'' 265 B- C- C- B B A
Couldn't have gone much better for the Raptors here. Jefferson upped his outside, handles, and defense in two categories. Oh, and he's just 18 years old. Jefferson looks to be a future top big man with the upside he showed this TC.
Jose Calderon PG 22 6'3'' 206 C A- B+ B- C B
Jose Calderon PG 22 6'3'' 206 C B+ B- C+ C B
Well the T-Mac trade does not look so bad anymore. Jefferson looks like a stud, while Calderon looks like a mirror image of himself in the NBA. Expect Calderon to get traded for another player of equal value, as you'd think the Raptors would want to build around PG Tony Parker.
LeBron James SF 19 6'8'' 240 A- C+ B- B- C+ A
LeBron James SF 19 6'8'' 240 A- C+ B B+ C+ A
Whatever, he sucks.
David West SF 23 6'9'' 243 B C C- B- C+ B
David West SF 23 6'9'' 243 B+ C C- B+ C+ B
David West looks like a stud now and Desmond Mason looks like a scrub, I guess you can say that trade worked out for A2j. Expect West to be a 20/8 guy regularly, as his game has really developed well since rookie year.
Lamar Odom SF 24 6'10'' 223 B C+ C+ B+ C+ B
Lamar Odom SF 24 6'10'' 223 B B- C+ B+ B- B
Odom looks awesome after a few mediocre TC's to start his career. He has a terrific all-around game, and looks like an almost identical version of Antoine Walker.
Andris Biedrins C 18 6'11'' 240 C+ D+ C B- C+ A
Andris Biedrins C 18 6'11'' 240 C+ D+ C B+ B A
K, Spence is a homer.
Josh Smith SF 18 6'9'' 225 B- C- C- B C+ A
Josh Smith SF 18 6'9'' 225 B- C- C- A- B A
What a beast Smith looks to be. Although his offensive game is extremely raw, he already looks like a freak defender and a tremendous rebounder. Hell, he's just 18, this guy is going to be a stud.
Nenad Krstic C 21 7'2'' 246 B C C B- C+ B
Nenad Krstic C 21 7'2'' 246 B+ C C B+ B- B
A weak Portland team finally has a player to build around in Kristic. Although he may not have the biggest name, he is certainly very productive and now has the ratings to back it up. I don't think 19/8 would be out of the question for Kristic this year.
Top TC's from 2004:
