I'm not BBS bashing when I say the league will fold because of the hard cap. Put your ego aside for a second and just listen! The league is great, its tough, and the rules are awesome but it needs to be adjusted. Player salaries are constantly rising, league ratings are getting inflated, and free agents are getting more money due to both factors.
Rookies max is around 13 mil starting
Once players are out of their first big deals they are making 18+ mil
Most playoff teams have 4-5 max players.
1 bench guy for 7-9 mil
1 MLE
+5 min players
12 players
84 mil
Its not really making the league better or shaking rosters up when such a high percentage of the league is flirting with the hardcap. It just makes it stupid....its not fun filling your team out with 2nd round picks to get 12 players or working your ass off to build a great team to have to trade someone away because its impossible to have 12 players.
Adding 5 mil to the hard cap or reducing the salary cap(which would reduce rookie max deals which wold reduce monster deals later on in their careers) would help so much. The original idea behind the hard cap was to reduce teams from building monster teams and 5 more mil isn't going to crush that but just allow teams to have a bench.
This isn't about me so I'm already putting a stop to Haberman and co. from turning this around. The hardcap has affected many teams and how they have operated. I had bad timing sorry Spence I worked an 18 hour day the I went over, I got home from work and went right to bed, woke up, went to work and had a 12 hour day and in the middle of that work day I was over. I had 15 min to spare from work where I was on my phone in a closet trying to text spence and send out PMs. I thought I had 2 deals in place that would work but Scott was playing on his xbox and Maniac texted Spence apparently a minute too late.
Also to everyone retired life is good. Work has been crazy but I'm kicking ass and college basketball season starts in a week. yeee.
