Obviously this whole thing was based on the assumption that Martinez refused Dallas, was offended, and was gone. I don't remember seeing that Martinez would get Dallas after the rebuild, and I talked to him online for a half hour earlier. Oh well.

I like Maniac but if hes not coming back to stay then i dont see the point in him grooming someone like Brooks who we know nothing about. If Maniac is going to stay then im all for that but not on some bs ill be back just to groom some unknown gm for that let martinez have the sixers and yb the mavs on probation

I wanted the best possible GM, Martinez, in the West. I wanted to give someone like Brooks who seems to have desire to be good, and I have no desire for YB to be a GM right now. Spencer came to me and I found it kind of odd that he was buying into this nonsense and I agreed to step down. He offered me Dallas but I said there wasn't any interest in an older team... so he offered to re-build. I reluctantly agreed but now that I see things more clearly... having the guy I've been in BBS since Day 1... choose an ignorant pompous jackass over me was probably my last straw and just made me realize it's time to move on. lol.
