Spencer came to me and I found it kind of odd that he was buying into this nonsense and I agreed to step down. He offered me Dallas but I said there wasn't any interest in an older team... so he offered to re-build. I reluctantly agreed but now that I see things more clearly... having the guy I've been in BBS since Day 1... choose an ignorant pompous jackass over me was probably my last straw and just made me realize it's time to move on. This is the same story that I gave to everyone when they IMed me upset about the situation. I haven't changed anything... people can believe you right now but I'll post the convo when I get home tonight. You IMed asked me to do you a favor. You said "Maniac wanted to groom the next GM for Philly" and I said "OK I'll step down no problem but I don't want another team" that's when you proposed about rebuilding about Dallas and I agreed, yes I agreed to that Spencer, but you are trying to say there was NO hesitation when I quite clearly said to give Dallas to someone else because I didn't want them.I obviously changed my mind because a) you basically allowed Maniac to make another decision for you over someone who has a longer tenure than him and is more respected b)I don't want Dallas, period. |

No, I dont regret it because everyone was on board last night when it came up. Martinez didnt seem to have a problem with taking over DAL eventually. I was actually thinking that itd be nice to have someone kinda watch over a new GM, but I also wanted the best GM possible to take DAL, because I feel like the East is superior to the West. As said as it sounds, the best available GM is Chris, and having him in the West made more sense then giving some n00b the Mavs while letting Chris have a good team like the Sixers. Everyone said ok. I went through with the plan and Chris, like he always does, tries to throw a monkey wrench in shit.
