I feel like its less then 50-50. I think there are almost always upsets in the FBB playoffs.

Yeah, at least recently that's been the case. Though in the last BBS, with the Knicks winning so much, and the Sonics and Bulls both winning when they were probably the best teams, it seems a little less than 50/50. But with my championship and Hernando's when he probably wasn't the best team, there's definitely a fair share of upsets. This year's upsets I'd mostly attribute to the fact that the most any team can have is two stars really, so there's a great deal of parity.

I think 75-80% of the time the best team wins.
Every now and then you have a year with an upset which shakes things up, but by the end of the playoffs, I think most of the times the best team is left standing.

It always seems to be in the new leagues that there are upsets, especially in the first few years.
In the current version of the NBN, we've simmed about 33 seasons over the last 3 years, and I'd say that only a handful of times the champion has been a "surprise".

I'd say it is a top 4 team 90% of the time. There are always a few upsets though.

It depends how you define the best teams though. The best team entering the playoffs might not be the team with the best record for example.

90% of the time a top 4 team wins it IMO.
In the old BBS, the Magic are the only team that really stands out as a surprise Champion...

My 2009 team when we went to the finals and won was a huge surprise considering my lineup due to injury was Kobe-Salmons-Bogut-Nedzad-Curry and I was going up against the almighty Knicks.

Yeah it was but you were still a top 4 team. Any team with Kobe (and in that BBS, Curry) were always in with a chance.
