I think his team is pretty good and he's winning games pretty good EC teams. Why can't that be the case? I don't think you can put down the depth of good teams in the conference just because Devin isn't doing a good job tanking. He has a lot of talent on his team. Yi and Dex are both good option scorers. Davidson looks like one of the best ballhandles in the league. Ibaka is a beast on defense. Millsap averages a double-double for him. It's not like he has a good team, but 21-31 makes sense for that roster. This sim he beat the Raps, Kings and Bulls, three other tanking teams. The only other teams he's beaten since the ASB are the Celts and Hornets. So he beats teams that suck in general. That's what teams that don't do a great job tanking do. He has two wins over both the Knicks and Nets. That makes no sense, sure, but it doesn't mean anything about the East as a conference. If the tanking teams of the West were in the East, their records would be worse, I bet. Devin's team is better than those teams by a lot--that's why he can't tank. The depth of the East is overrated. Outside the the playoff teams, none of the teams are that good... all are probably in the same league talent-wise as Cleveland. I don't think his team sucks, but if the East was as amazing as everyone says it is his team would be alot worse, right? Well, Derwin was speaking crazy when he made the comment that the shitty West teams make it impossible for him to tank. Obviously he should be able to tank better in the East because the teams are better. That said, his team is just too good (it sucks, that isn't what I mean) to tank well. It's not like he is actually playing well. He's winning the amount of games he should win. The East has 9 teams that could win the West IMO whereas the West has probably just 1 that could win the East. Also don't forget that part of the "The East is amazing" talk for THIS year came with the assumption that Captain/Don wouldn't suck dick in their CY years. |

ACC play in general is very tough, especially on the road. Duke, Wake Forest, Clemson are all ranked and playing very well. Shit, even Georgia Tech and Florida State are going to be good. Any undefeated regular season team would come as a shock to me, regardless of the conference. |
