Ratliff looked real good in pre season for what it was. I would like to see him and clemens fight for it, so I could see him taking it in the end, who knows. I'm not sure I would be a fan of getting Matt Cassell, really did not like him that much when I saw him. I mean he is good at dumping the ball off, making those short passes. But I think a lot of guys could do well in the pats system, IMO. The only reason why Mangini will stay is because of the 3-4 system and all the players we got for it. I mean we could get a guy who is for it as well, Mike T might just tell him to change up some coaching positions. I think he is in his last year of his contract next season. Cassell clearly benefited from sitting behind Brady and learning the offense. However, the guy clearly has skills... I've seen him throw some completions into tight windows, and his deep ball is very underrated. Great in the intermediate passing game. The Jets ran alot of 5-wide sets this year, something that Cassell is used to. He'd be a good fit for a Schottenheimer offense (if they choose to bring him back). Cowher and both Ryans are 3-4 coaches, so personnel wouldn't be that big of an issue for those guys. Unfortunately I don't think Mangini will be fired... he's a smug dickhead who's clearly not a leader, but like you said, he has one year left on his contract, and he was brought in with Tannenbaum for the long haul... I don't think Woody Johnson lets him go after just 3 seasons. The most I can hope for though is that Sutton gets the axe, which I think he will.

Herm was a horrible coach but no one doubted his leadership qualities... Mangini is clearly lacking in that department. I think he's lost the team.

Bucs are a way bigger trainwreck... 0-4 in December? Losing to SD and Oakland at home? lol and you guys went 1-3 in December congratulations! I'm sorry that we lost with a boatload of injuries on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Yes, we blew it. Injuries aren't the only excuse to the Bucs collapse, but for a team people were hyping up to play in the Superbowl i.e. the Jets to lose against San Francisco, Seattle(lmao Seneca Wallace? haha) and the QB they said "couldn't win" in Miami. It's safe to say that the Jets are a much bigger disaster than the Bucs... considering the amount of money that was spent in Free Agency and trading for Favre. Hey and what do you know, I was right when I said pre-season the Jets were going to miss the playoffs, go figure! I was right! and yeah we lost to Oakland who was playing much better at the end of the year and San Diego who just may win their division and are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now(regardless of how crappy their division is)

Someone with some fire. Mangini has nothing in him, he has the same damn look on his face every time they show him. Lets hope some moves are made. What you say about Cassell could be true, I don't know if I would want him though. I doubt they spend big money this off season anyway.

For the most part, the Jets' FA acquisitions played very well. The only trade that really blew up in their face was the Favre trade.
The Bucs got embarrassed at home by two teams with losing records that traveled across three time zones to play them. Tough days ahead for them.

Tampa didn't have lower expectations than the Jets either... that's bull. Most were pinning them as a contender and as a team that could have a first round bye after they were 9-3.

I don't see what Blue is trying to argue about... the Jets fucking blew it. I guess making fun of Tampa makes an expected Jets collapse better.
and Nova, the Eagles got lucky. They needed a TON of help to get into the playoffs, I mean, they played probably the worst game this season against the Bengals...

I know the Jets suck, you don't need to tell me about it.

140-65.
That was by far my highest output all year.
Johnson, Fitzgerald, & Akers alone outscored Dan's team.

Wouldn't mind Rivers or Rodgers. Mangini, Marinelli, & Crennel got canned. I wish Gruden would be let go but I doubt it for some reason the Glazers love him, I always said that Superbowl win was Dungy/Kiffin's doing not Gruden...I hate to see Kiffin leave but I think Raheem Morris is probably the best replacement we could find... if we didn't give him the job at DC some other team probably would have had this off-season.
