position: Small Forward age: 20 height: 7'0" weight: 225lbs Current Team: Lietuvos (Lithuania) Prospect Grades:C+ B+ C C C- A Strengths:An incredible shooter from mid-range and three point land. His release reminds many of a hybrid of Dirk Nowitzki, Peja Stojakovic and Andrea Bargnani. Just a thing of a beauty. Kanauskas also takes care of the ball and while he likes it in his hand, he's not very turnover prone. Kanauskas is also able to drive to the basket using his size to his advantage against smaller defenders and isn't afraid to back down opponents. Unlike what many European prospects get criticized for, you will not find too many prospects with a work ethic quite like Kanauskas. He continually finds ways to get better. Weaknesses:He's not very tough and as a result, doesn't attack the boards and is a soft defender. While he works hard to improve these facets of his game, they are definitely his top weakness. He is also very slow for a small forward and as a result has trouble driving against some of the quicker small forwards. Notes:Most scouts do not believe that he would be a gamble in the late lottery or mid-first round. Kanauskas will thrive in outside-oriented systems.
