Pierre Lavoie
position: Small forward
age: 21
height: 6'8
weight: 211lbs
Current Team: Le Mans(France)
Prospect Grades:
B C C+ B C+ B
Strengths:
Good athlete with a nice combination of power and speed. Good frame and developed body. Likes to hit the gym. Good leaping ability
and above average first step. Possesses an advanced post up game featuring up and under moves, spin moves and a solid fade away shot.
Great passer out of the post. Will go hard to the hoop and draw plenty of fouls. Good FT shooter and a consistent catch and shoot guy from mid range. Crafty ball handler that avoids turnovers. Smart with the basketball and doesn't force the issue. Possesses a high basketball IQ. Tough defender that doesn't gamble. Understands positioning and angles. Excellent team defender. Possesses leadership qualities and is always talking on the court. Good rebounder that will stay back and help out his bigs. Has the strength to keep bigger players on his back.
Weaknesses:
A good athlete but not elite. Lacks range on his shot and is not a threat from downtown. Solid mid range game but shooting off of the dribble can use some work. Better coming off of screens. Not much of an offensive rebounder as he likes to get back on defense. Passive at times and can be unselfish to a fault. Will look to pass when he should be looking to score. Needs to develop more of a killer instinct. Doesn't create many turnovers as he prefers to play it safe.
Notes:
At age 17, he made the jump from high school ball to playing professionally in France. Speaks five languages. Dabbles in mixed martial arts.
