Scouts have turned there eyes to the remote Navajo Indian Reservation at a basketball player who is rising very quickly up the draft boards. A high school great in the state of Arizona, Whitehorse didn't get any D-1 offers due to the fact that the level of competition wasn't that great and that many scouts didn't want to travel to see him. With only a few D-III offers Whitehorse felt his future revolved around trying to support his family on the reservation. He enrolled in Dine Navajo JC for the sole reason to continue his love of basketball. When he scored 87 points against Apache County J.C which was headlined on ESPN, some BBS scouts took notice. When he averaged 42.3 PPG 13.3 APG with 5.6 steals per game in the NJCAA tournament the whole country took notice. Whitehorse this years is averaging a whopping 53.3 PPG so far through 6 games in the Northern Arizona Association of Athletics including putting up 42 in a game against Utah State in an exhibition game set up soely to see this kid play.
An offensive juggernaut, BBS Scouts love his offensive game and potential. At one time Whitehorse was one of the best ball generals in Arizona but he has been caught up in his own hype and feels the only way he can get to the BBS is by scoring at will. BBS scouts feel that he would be better suited at the 2 but don't think his size will let him do so. He concentrates so much on the offensive end of the court that sometimes he lacks defensive presence. Would love to play a couple feet off the ball then up in your face defense, however plays passing lanes very well and has great defensive awareness. Although he hasn't played against top level players in a couple years scouts think his offensive ability and quickness are going to be quality in the BBS.
