General Notes
-Before a H.S. growth spurt, Sembene was an All-State FB affectionately nicknamed the "Ox"
-Possesses a 6'7.5" wingspan
-Shoots Free throws under-handed after watching highlights of Rick Barry
-Student of the game, modeled his game completely after Gary Payton
-Sembene is not running around you, he is running through you
-Easily the strongest player under 6'5" this scout has ever seen
-Good passer, but does not possess elite court vision
-In his 3 year career at WSU, Sembene finished 11th, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the Pac-10 for shot-blocking, unheard of for a PG
-Lateral quickness is slightly above average, but is excellent at using his body to deny lanes
-There are Centers with more range on their jumpshots, teams often play off him from the perimeter
-Despite lack of range, is money from 15 feet in
-Not a great leaper, but has amazing timing
-Is a low-risk ball-handler
-Has the post game of a SF
-Most teammates and coaches think he's a "great guy"
-Family is from Senegal and takes his namesake from his grandfather, a popular filmmaker.
Outlook
Seems like an early lock for a lottery selection, and possibly the first PG off the board.
