1- New Orleans Hornets- Kristian Hjartarsson SF/PF 6'9 240 22 B C+ C C C+ A
The Spencer/Steve regime will make Hjartsson the first pick of the draft should the Hornets land No. 1 pick. Hjartarsson is seemingly a major project with huge upside, which should allow him to grow in another lotto projected season for the Bugs.
2- Dallas Mavericks - Leon Camby C 6'11'' 220 21 B D+ D B+ C+ A
Camby is the perfect fit for the Mavericks at the number two pick. Camby could very well be the No. 1 pick but luckily slides here to the big-man starved Mavs. He should be able to start from day one for Dallas.
3- Seattle Sonics (From ATL)- Theo Finley SF 6'8'' 210 20 B- B- C+ B C- A
Should the Sonics stay in the top 3, they can't pass on a talent like Finley. He could be great trade bait for a nice big man or point guard or could be possibly be plugged in at small forward in a line-up that features King James, Corey Fisher and Derrick Favors.
4- Milwaukee Bucks - Ivan Cann C 7'0'' 244 20 B D D A- C+ B
Cann is one of the best defensive players in a deep class of defensive minded players. He's only 20 years old and still has some upside. His rebounding needs some work but is a nice player to team up with Rob York.
5- Toronto Raptors - Austin Brock SG 6'8 200 19 B+ C D+ B- C A
With Toby Hart likely to test free agency, Brock could step in and fill in for his role. A polished inside scorer, Brock combines a strong inside game with a bad attitude and nastiness on the defensive end.
6- Boston Celtics - Thomas Edwards III C 6'11 230 18 C D- D+ B+ B- A
The Celtics need some front court help with the aging of DeSagna Diop. Edwards III might be the best shotblocker to emerge from this class when it's all said and done. Could be a very nice double double threat if he develops a post up game.
7- Denver Nuggets - Ousmane Sembene PG 6'3'' 207 21 C+ C- B- A- C A
The Nuggs come out fortunate here with the point guard with the highest upside still on the board. Semebene is a great defender and has already drawn comparisons to Rajon Rondo in terms of his play. A nice pick-up in the top 10 for sure.
8- San Antonio Spurs- Jorge Victoriano SG 6'6 175 20 B- C+ C C+ C- A
The Spurs are loaded at the swing spots but can afford to develop this Argentinian prospect. Victoriano can play the 2 spot while James Anderson moves to the small forward position. The result is hopefully improved scoring in San Antonio as a team.
9- Los Angeles Lakers (From GST) - Cameron Carter PF 6'7 230 20 A- C+ C C- B- A
The Lakers take Carter here because simply he's the best player left on the board. Although he may not be a natural fit at PF, he could easily be a great backup or possibly a starter down the line for L.A. A strong inside scorer already, his defense is atrocious but they can afford to wait.
10- Minnesota Timberwolves - Clifford Sutton PF 6'10 210 18 B C+ D B- C A
Sutton is one of the best bigs left here and Minny could really revitalize their frontcourt with youth. Sutton is only a teenager and could be a big risk, big reward type pick as we close the top 10. Perhaps, could be a big time player by time he's 25.
11- Phoenix Suns - Hunter Kampmann C 7'2 255 20 C+ A- D- C- B- A
The Suns are absolutely loaded in so many spots, including the swing positions and at guard. They could take an undersized big in Kenneth Donovan but instead settle for the huge potential expected out of Kampmann. Although there are problems with his contract overseas, he could be a great addition when he can finally join the Suns.
12- Atlanta Hawks (From CHI) - Trey Donovan PG 5'6 165 21 C- B- B+ B- D- B
New GM PT gets perhaps the most ready point guard in this draft at the tail end of the lotto here. Donovan is a nice fit for this club at should be at the helm on Opening Day 2018.
13- Houston Rockets (From NJ)- Dean Grubert C 6'11'' 235 21 B- D+ D+ B B- A
With Donovan still on the board, the Rockets opt for more of a true center to pair alongside Darko. Grubert has some room to grow and is only 21 with a nice inside game, defense and rebounding. Likely a solid choice to end the lottery at this point.
