1) Seattle Supersonics (From Hawks) - PF Rory Davis A- C- D+ B- C A
Perhaps the most proficient inside-scoring big man in league history to enter the draft. Davis will be tough for any team to pass up in the draft, but with the Sonics having no frontcourt to speak of, Davis is a no-brainer.
2) L.A. Clippers - SG Renaldo McFadden B C+ C+ B C A
McFadden can be compared to Brandon Roy and looks to be a future All-Star. He has no weaknesses to speak of and is a top-3 lock.
3) Denver Nuggets - PF Simon Ben-Ephraim B C C- B- C+ A
The Nuggets are desperate for a big man and Ben-Ephraim appears to be the best one on the board.
He's big, young and has really nice starting ratings.
4) New Orleans Hornets - SF Byron Hasty C+ B- B- C+ C+ B
Hasty would be really hard to pass up at this position. He can do a little bit of everything and appears to still have solid upside.
The Hornets really need help on the wings, so this appears to be the best pick.
5) Memphis Grizzlies - SF Donovon Lon C+ C+ C+ C+ C A
The Grizzlies take the player with the most upside because they have nothing to lose.
6) Toronto Raptors - SG Derrick Thompson B B C- C C A
The Raps are set, except for on the wings and Thompson can be a dynamic scorer. He reminds me a lot of Xavier Henry when he first entered the league. He may take time to develop, but he'll get there.
7) Atlanta Hawks (from Bulls) - PG Qussam Al-Jeddha B- C A- C+ C- A
The Hawks need help everywhere and Al-Jeddha should really go higher, but all of the other teams appear set at point guard.
8) New Jersey Nets - SG Mason Purify B C+ B- C+ D+ A
It's a shock that he'd drop this low, but this draft is stacked at the top and his lack of rebounding skills will hurt him. Purify will make an impact right away.
9) Phoenix Suns - SG Terrence Melling B C+ C B D+ A
Melling's similarities to Purify make them basically a wash in terms of draft selection. Purify's handles give him the upper-hand head-to-head, so expect Melling to go shortly after him.
10) Denver Nuggets (from Blazers) - PG Hakin Alexander C B B+ C+ F A
Alexander is the most intriguing point guard on the board and the Nuggets need one.
Alexander is too small to grab boards, but with guys like Bobo, they don't really need help in that department.
11) Las Vegas Rebels (from Seattle) - SF Devon Wedge B- C+ C+ C+ B B
The Rebels are set across the board, so they'll take the best player available, who is Wedge by a mile. This kid can do it all and is exactly the type of complimentary player that the Rebels covet.
12) Toronto Raptors (from Utah) - SF Jens Weissmuller C C B B B A
Weissmuller is an intriguing player who could be an incredible complimentary player that does a little bit of everything.
His lack of offense will scare people off.
13) Cleveland Cavaliers - C Bobby Hill A- B F+ B B+ B
The Cavs can afford to take a risk on someone like Hill.
Why not?
