Midwest Division
Dallas Mavericks - Kevin Durant SF A- A- B+ A- B+ D
BBS MVP. Pretty much says it all. Since the blockbuster trade, Durant has resurrected the Mavericks and led them to the best record of the league.
Denver Nuggets - Bobo Bareagua SF A- C- A- A- B B
Standing at 6'2" and weighing 260 pounds, this kid is the best player on Denver. Despite his size, he put 20 points per night while grabbing 8 REBOUNDS per game. Bobo has been amazing on Denver and fans just love him.
Houston Rockets - JaMychal Green PF B+ D+ D A- B+ C
The grass is greener on what side? The PF or SG? Between JaMychal and Gerald, the MVP of Houston is JaMychal Green. He put up 17/9 per night and a digit for everything else across the stat line. Clearly the MVP of Houston despite the team record.
Minnesota Timberwolves - Austin Rivers PG B- B+ A+ B+ C C
Rivers is the MVP of Minnesota. Although they have Krstic putting up 25/13 per night, Rivers is the guy who made Krstic and the rest of the team better. Rivers 11 assists per night is just simply amazing. Definitely the QB of the team.
San Antonio Spurs - DJ Augustin PG C A- A A- D+ D
Since the arrival of Augustin, the Spurs went from the bottom of the west to the Playoffs. His leadership skills has resurected this team. Averaging 17 ppg and a low assist/turnover ratio of 10 to 2 has just been great for the Spurs this year.
Utah Jazz - Emeka Okafor C B C C B+ A- D
Okafor still has game and he showed it by averaging 16/11 with 3 blocks per night. Not really MVP type numbers on a team, but if I had to choose the best player on Utah it would have to be him.
Memphis Grizzlies - Lance Stephenson SG B+ A B+ A C B
Lance has done everything he could for Memphis. Played the most minutes, PG, SG, everything. He has averaged 26 ppg, 5 rbs, 6 asts, and 3 stls for them. Clearly the MVP of Memphis.
Pacific Division
Golden State Warriors - Luol Deng SF B+ B+ C A- C D
Deng has been simply amazing on Golden State. Coming from New York in a off season trade, Deng has showed his winning leadership down the stretch. Although barely getting the 8th seed, Deng has carried his team throughout the year. He averaged 26 ppg for them.
Los Angeles Clippers - Avery Bradley PG B B A B+ D+ D
Bradley is the best player on LA despite his team not making the Playoffs. He pretty much did everything on LA when it came to scoring, rebounding, passing, and defending.
Los Angeles Lakers - LaQuinton Ross SG A- B+ A- A- C+ C
Ross has carried his team throughout all 82 games this season. He is clearly the MVP of this squad and his 29 ppg will prove that. Not only his scoring, but his versatility on both ends of the floor.
Phoenix Suns - John Wall PG A- B A- B- C D
Sadly just short of not making the Playoffs, John Wall has showed that he was the MVP of Phoenix all year. Although his team suffered a huge injury to one of their key players in Dunagan, Wall did all he could to help them win. But despite missing the Playoffs, Wall has averaged 22 points, 5 boards, 10 assists, and 2 steals a night.
Portland Trail Blazers - LaMarcus Aldridge PF B+ C D+ A- A D
Portland has struggled all year but they had a player who played the best on the team in Aldridge. He saw the rest of his team suffered with injuries, but LA played all 82 games and did his best to help his team. He averaged 18/12 and 2 blocks for them.
Las Vegas Rebels - Ja'Shon Garrison PG B+ B+ A- A- C- C
Ja'Shon has been amazing for the Rebels this year. He led his team to the Playoffs by showing great leadership skills for a young player his age. He averaged 22 points and 9 assists.
Seattle SuperSonics - Derrick Rose PG A B+ A A- C C
Rose being Rose. His leadership and winning attitude took his team to the Playoffs. A 5 time MVP will do that for you.
Dallas Mavericks - Kevin Durant SF A- A- B+ A- B+ D
