I don't think many would pick Cake over Boston or Oasis over Dire Straights. Smashing Pumpkins are more well known then Traffic. Black Keys are sick and are one of the fastest rising bands out there, however they have a few a couple more years to be mentioned in the same breath as The Beatles.

I love Boston and listen to it all the time at home or running or lifting, they are great for anything. I really didn't care for the Smashing vs traffic matchup.

Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins (this was a really tough one), Cake (Boston has one incredible album, the rest are mediocre), Oasis (personal preference)

(16)The Who Game 5 Details (113)Linkin Park
Whoever chooses Linkin Park in this bracket should be ineligible from future voting
Here are the ones that I am going to have trouble voting on:
(40)Jethro Tull Game 14 Details (89)Queens of the Stone Age
(28)Cream Game 19 Details (101)Van Morrison
I am a huge fan of both of them

I thought I would have trouble in a lot of round 2 and 3 matchups. I doubt all of my favorite bands will win though.

I'm surprised Oasis isn't getting votes. Most people I know consider them one of their 5 to 10 favorite bands.

I may refrain from voting until The Beach Boys are added If anyone can say with a straight face that Styx or The Mars Volta are better than them, they don't know music.
