Who has it and who has played it?!
I'm stuck at work but Amazon e-mailed me yesterday saying it was dispatched so hopefully it'll be waiting for me when I get home later (and my gf hasn't hidden it), or tomorrow if not today. I can't wait to play it and heard on the radio this morning that loads of people already have it, played it, and taken days of work to play it lol.

Oh, and bastards at Amazon charged me £44 for it as I preordered it so long ago. They slashed the price today to £32. What kinda rip is that?! You're meant to get it at a better price by pre-ordering it than having to wait!! Then I find out that fucking supermarkets like Sainsbury and Tesco are selling it for £25 in store?! I paid nearly double that!! I'm not pissed about the amount of money, it's the principle. I got no benefit at all by pre-ordering it. That's the lat time I ever pre-order a game.

You know what, you're right. FUCK PRE-ORDERING!! The only thing that's worked out recently is that I got a free t-shirt with Pro from Play.com  OK so it wasn't really free, I ended up paying £5 more than the game was being sold for in stores... but £5 ain't bad for it. |

Just checked out Amazon.co.uk and there are loads of people who pre-ordered MW2 and are pissed at the price drop, but Amazon have some sort of guarantee policy that means they will refund the difference between the pre-ordered price and the price they sell it for on release day. Having said that, despite it beind dispatched on the 9th, delivery estimate for my game is the 14th!! I may just cancel it completely and go buy it cheaper from Sainsburys if they have any when I get off work later.
How disappointing.

You'll have to let me know how the game is. My roommate and I were thinking about buying it and splitting the cost, so let me know how good it is. The commercials I've seen for it look really sweet though.

Tiger.... call Amazon or e-mail Amazon. Amazon will always honor the lower price.
I pre-ordered COD from Amazon as well and for US customers they were offering a $20 Gift Card with the purchase. When I pre-ordered COD the first time they were only offering a $5 GC and my order automatically got "bumped" to $20 GC.
Amazon is very helpful and is one of my favorite places to order from for everything. Their customer service is also very helpful, e-mail not so much but when you call they are.

Yeah I read that a lot of people are pissed about this and apparently Amazon are re-crediting people's accounts with the difference in price (from £44 to £32), which is fine in principle, but now the thing pissing me off is that I don't even receive it until the 14th (according to the site) but Sainsburys (one of the big four supermarkets) are selling it in-store for £26!
Again... I see no benefit at all of pre-ordering. It's still more expensive, and you don't even get it on launch day. I wouldn't be pissed if I got it on launch day and had to pay the £32, or even the £44 come to think of it.

Fuck it. I am going to pop in to Sainsbury's on the way home after work as there's literally a store on my way back a bout a minute from my flat. If they have it there at £26 I'm buying it and returning the other one to Amazon whenever it arrives. I'm now quite sceptical about whether or not they'll even have them because it sold out on Sainsbury's online this morning.

Tiger- how do the prices fluctuate so much? I know in the U.S. the game is universally $60.
