I played a cash game yesterday and bought in for $50. Three hours later I stood up with $50. What a waste.

Give CC NO and let DOn get 1 more year since Don won more games than CF. agree with this.

I never quite understood this either. I thought Don was only Boston GM for three seasons, not 4 (counting his CY). I was told that it starts counting in the offseason. So basically since I came to Boston that offseason (and CF the offseason after my NO CY) that the previous year then counts as one of your 3 years to make 40 or playoffs. So basically CF's 1st year was my CY in NO and my first in Boston was when it had mike then didn't have a gm for a while.

So you're punished for a season where you were another team? And CF is punished for your last year with NO? How is that possible? DJ somehow gave YB an extra year (anyone remember that?) but these guys got 3?

It's probably a misunderstanding, and both guys weren't actually meant to be in their contract years.

GM's get 3 offseasons... if a GM takes over a team before/during the draft.... that counts as the 1st offseason...otherwise they end up getting 4 offseasons... which is one more than other GMs get.
Example... boston took over before/during the 2013 draft.... 2013 + 2014 + 2015 offseasons = 3 offseasons.

I think the main confusion comes from the rules where it states years. It leads a GM to believe that he has 3 years with his team to make the playoffs or win 40, then he enters his CY year.
Instead of that being the case, it counts offseasons and is only 2 offseasons before you enter your CY year.

That is the rule? Jeez. It shouldn't be complicated. You get four seasons. Four opening days to get your 40.

the 2016 season would be there contract year....
2013 draft, 2014 draft, 2015, draft, 2016 draft ( this year)...
They are both now officially in their contract years..
If you go three years with out winning you enter your contract year. 2013 losing season, 2014 losing season, 2015 losing season. Now we enter 2016...
