Brook Lopez hits waivers.
NOH lose their 14 and 17 1sts.
No FA for the next 2 years which means Sidney needs to move.
Horrible.

The trade is off by 100K. Let it go through. Add the Vet FA.

LOL it's the rules
it doesn't matter if it's off by 100k or 15,000,000. It's off.
It's not hard to check contracts

these HC penalties seem pretty fucking harse in my opinion . . . it should be day 1 a player hits waivers . . . day two no use of ddraft pick . . .day 3 no signing fa's. come on i'm a lottto team and now i have no shot of ever getting better. this is crippling my franchise. . .

This ruins the New Orleans franchise, New Orleans can just quit and the next GM has to pay the price. Holy crap.

And on another note, how does it possibly help teams that going over the hard cap basically means they have to suck ass for the next 3 years. I get you don't want them to go over, but just because you don't want your kids to have kids, you don't neuter them.

Its not like I make these rules up as I go along. The rules are set. Follow the rules or pay the price.

let me say first that the hc is getting ridiculous with so many teams going over
however, it's the rules and it's funny to blame this on spencer when it's you captain that went over. If you didn't sign bogut to that shitty contract or made trades that got you over the hc you wouldn't be in this position.

The rules are set, therefore it is perfectly fine to question them.

I cant edit or modify rules based on how bad the franchise will get hurt. Once again, this should be a lesson at how difficult the HC penalty is. No one should go over.

I mean, it's really just making it easier for me because there are will be more lame duck teams, but I just think going over the hard cap should mean your team just dies. I don't see the point of taking away both the ability to re-sign players and draft picks. I'm just saying. Your Spencer, you don't give a shit, but i'm just saying.

Shouldn't every team be able to stay under 85? Shouldn't every team be able to make a trade that gets them under 85 if they do go over?

The HC penalty is definitely harsh if it hits a rebuilding team.

I dunno, Spence. It doesn't seem like that's happening. I think raising the HC should be a one-time thing, but I do think it's necessary.

Does that justify impounding their car and suspending their license? And if the penalty is so strict, why is the time to get under so short.

I have a little bit more sympathy for New Orleans because they're struggling and he's a new GM but rules are rules. It really isn't hard to stay under, but sometimes you make decisions that might not best for the short-term of your franchise. I 'lowballed' Yao because I knew if I signed him for a max one year deal I was going to be in trouble. In the same situation, New Orleans really couldn't have to resign Bogut for that kind of money and not expect themselves to be where they are now.
